First, for the steel tower, we start to deliver to KEPCO in 1998 and till now as the result of continuous effort in technical development.

For the overhead transmission cable, ILJIN Electric has the technology for the manufacturing of the aluminum-alloy conductor, for example, INVAR, High Tensile Strength cable etc. and recently Aluminum Conductor Composite Core (ACCC) cable is under developing and ACCC cable can be applied on the long distance overhead transmission line in Smart Grid market because ACCC cable is better than ACSR in hanging down and so it is possible to reduce not only the height but also number of the steel tower on the overhead transmission line, and especially ACCC cableis good for use on transmission line from the power plant.

ILJIN Electric has plan develop ACCC cable by 2010 and deliver to KEPCO in 2011 to occupy the good position in the Smart Grid market.

Moreover, the heavy electric machine business has succeeded in localizing and mass-producing 154 kV, 345 kV, 765 kV transmission, transfer and distribution fittings & SOC items, 765 kV fall-pr evention safety device, and elevator rails.
