The line depended on the expertise developed by SEMYUNG since 1962.
SEMYUNG contributed greatly in development of domestic industries and construction domestic 345kV Net-Work as expert manufacturer.
Since 1991 SEMYUNG has produced designs and manufacturing technology as well as developing hardwares for 765kV transmission and substation by developments of domestic industries and to meet increased demand for electric power. We have also developed Prefabricated Jumper device & Conductor Spacer in 1996 and Hardwares of Insulator string for special region in 1997.
SEMYUNG has become a leader in the domestic manufacture of 765kV transmission lines (T/L) called ‘the expressway of electric power transportation’ and has successfully begun to supply Tangjin ~ Shinseosan T/L and Shinseosan ~ Shinansung T/L, Shintaebaek ~ Shingapyung T/L, Uljin ~ Shintaebaek T/L, and Shinansung ~ Shingapyung T/L.
As KEPCO made a plan to construct a Single Circuit Transmission Lines of a triangle arrangement in consideration of economical efficiency, a new type V-Suspension string set and Prefabricated Jumper Device for Single Circuit. was required.
Hereupon, SEMYUNG had been developed V-Suspension string set in 2003 and Prefabricated Jumper Device since 2007 for Single Circuit, and successfully delivered them to Shingori ~ Bukkyungnam T/L and earned a reputation as expert manufacturer of hardwares.
SEMYUNG are not satisfied now and continue their R&D activities. Recently they developed new type Bolt-Less Type Spacer damper for 6-bundle to replace the existing Bolt-Less Type. It has the ability to maintain conductor's clamping equivalent at any time and to prevent a damage to conductors and to minimize a fatigue in spite of Creep phenomenon.
In addition, it is able to improve safety through a reduction of weight. Therefore, it was acknowledged as quality and construction ability, economical efficiency having and excellent performance in damping & stiffness characteristic in the IEC standard prescribed in 1998.
SEMYUNG, as an expert manufacturer for hardwares of transmission line in Korea, are racing with a lot of effort to achieve a marketing improvement in the world of successful constructions toward a 765kV transmission line of Know-How and the KEPCO to get to experiences to be productive of the last 45 years.
